Dear [Library/bookstore Manager],
I’d like to recommend a young-adult, climate fiction (cli-fi) novel for your library/bookstore.
Title: Global Dawning: Convergence
Author: Howard Gaukrodger
Publishing details: Amazon – https://www.amazon.com.au/Global-Dawning-Convergence-Howard-Gaukrodger-ebook/dp/B0FGTXRJ9D
ISBN: 978-1-7637874-0-7 – Global Dawning – Convergence (eBOOK)
ISBN: 978-1-7637874-2-1 – Global Dawning – Convergence (PAPERBACK).
Why I recommend this book:
Climate change is the most important issue facing the world today, but cli-fi novels for young adults are still uncommon – especially novels that use science and research for realism. Global Dawning: Convergence, by Howard Gaukrodger is engaging precisely because it does. It’s a near-future thriller that portrays characters that readers can relate to, places they can identify on maps, and mitigation projects that are small enough for them to realise that they, too, could get involved in. Dystopian? No. Why should books make readers even more anxious about the changing climate? Global Dawning: Convergence is upbeat, inspiring. It challenges the current trends in YA novels of catastrophe and war.
If you have time to read the reviews on the book’s website at https://lufianblid.com/reviews, you’ll see that many readers have given the novel five stars.
Thanks so much for your time — I think the novel would be a great addition to the library/bookstore.
Kind regards,
[Your Name]
