In Lufianblid, the animals have their own world – and while the majority of them get on with each other, there are just a few that “rock the boat”. This is like our human world, isn’t it? The news on TV loves to talk about disasters and accidents because this stuff sells, but in reality, the majority of us humans are actually nice people. And when the majority of humans are nice and the majority of animals are nice, well, it’s a kind of paradise. So maybe that’s why most authors and readers like a happy ending. Do you think Global Dawning: Convergence has a happy ending?

Thrillers can be much more than stories, and stories more than thrillers. Readers tell me that Global Dawning: Convergence is full of suspense, but it’s also full of facts about climate change and why it’s happening. Why not check the facts? You’ll be amazed, for example, how often the number 226 appears.

And the characters – we all know people like those in the book. We wear our character on our sleeve. Sometimes, just by the way we walk, we give away hints of what we’re like. And the way we talk? My God, you can write a book about someone just by listening to how they talk. Try it and see.

Why the name, ‘Lufianblid’? What does it mean? How do you say it? And why is planet Earth called Felacynn?

Great questions; I’m glad you asked. Just as in any good story, a writer has to create something original, something that triggers curiosity, sparks emotions. The names I’ve chosen for places and characters took many hours over many months to get right. With a bit of digging, you’ll uncover the hidden meanings – meanings that help describe the characters. To get you started, I’ll answer the question in the post title: why the name, Lufianblid?  – “with a silent ‘d’, if you don’t mind”, said Tuska. ‘Lufian’ means ‘love’ in Old English, and ‘blid’ means ‘happiness’. Lufianblid is therefore the land of love and happiness. Try to find out what ‘Felacynn’ means.
